Traffic diversions announced on Srinagar-Baramulla road for 25th Muharram procession

Srinagar, July 10: Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Friday issued an advisory announcing traffic diversions along the Srinagar-Baramulla road in view of the 25th Muharram procession at Mirgund Pattan on July 11.


According to the advisory, vehicular traffic along the Srinagar-Baramulla road will remain affected from 10 am to 8 pm, and motorists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel on the road during the period.


The advisory said Srinagar-bound traffic from Baramulla and Kupwara will be allowed to move via Hamray-Pattan-Hanjiveera-KP Payeen-Jheel Bridge-Gund Khawaja Qasim-Mazhma-Narbal-Srinagar.


Similarly, Baramulla, Sopore and Kupwara-bound traffic from Srinagar will be diverted via Narbal-Magam-Kongamdara-Hanjiveera-Pattan-Hamray before proceeding towards their respective destinations.


The Traffic Police said the diversions and re-routing arrangements will remain in force during the procession and issued the advisory in public interest for information and compliance.
