Relief for Amar Singh College Students as ID Card Concern Addressed

Some UG first-semester students of Amar Singh College, Srinagar, expressed concern on Monday after not receiving their college identity cards, a day before the commencement of examinations. The delay led to queries regarding entry to examination centres, where identity verification is mandatory.

However, addressing the issue, the Principal of Amar Singh College clarified that all identity cards have been prepared and students can collect them from the college library on the examination day itself. The Principal further assured that no student will be barred from appearing in the examination.

He added that in case any student’s ID card is not ready or cannot be collected in time, students will be allowed to enter the examination centre by producing their Aadhaar card for identity verification.

The clarification has brought relief to students, who had been anxious about their eligibility to sit for the exams. College authorities have urged students to remain calm and cooperate with the administration during the examination process Students have been advised to reach their respective centres on time and carry the necessary documents to avoid any inconvenience.(News Eye).
