Bandipora, Aug 31: Senior Congress leader Nizam-ud-din Bhat has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating fire incident in Tulail that left several families homeless and in great distress.Extending his heartfelt sympathies, he said the tragedy has caused immense suffering in the remote border area where people already face tough living conditions.
Bhat, urged the government to ensure immediate relief, including temporary shelter, adequate compensation, ration supplies and other essential assistance, so that the victims can find some respite in this difficult time. He also appealed to social and voluntary organizations to come forward and support the affected families until permanent rehabilitation measures are put in place.
While acknowledging the efforts of the locals and Jammu & Kashmir police men who risked their lives to control the blaze, Bhat prayed for the speedy recovery of all those who sustained injuries during the operation.He said such incidents highlight the need for better disaster preparedness and called upon the administration to remain vigilant and responsive to the needs of people living in far-flung areas.
