Militants on Monday afternoon opened fire on a group of tourists in the Baisaran area of Pahalgam, killing one person and injuring five others.

According to official sources, “the attack took place around afternoon hours when a group of tourists came under fire in Baisaran. One civilian lost his life, and five others sustained injuries in the attack,” a senior police officer told NewsEye,

The security forces are on the spot and a search operation has been launched to track down the assailants.
