Srinagar, Sept 9: National Conference MLA Abdul Majeed Larmi on Wednesday alleged that the camp of PDP MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra sent as many as 575 messages to NC MP Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, attempting to provoke him amid his differences with the party leadership.

As per details available with NewsEye, Larmi said, “575 messages were sent to MP Aga Ruhullah Mehdi by the Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra camp, though they were not sent directly by Parra himself. The messages were aimed at reminding Ruhullah of his earlier statements against the party and questioning why he was not taking the steps he had spoken about. I say this on record: 575 messages were sent by Waheed Parra’s camp to MP Aga Ruhullah Mehdi.”

The remarks come amid reported differences between Aga Ruhullah, the National Conference MP from Srinagar, and the party leadership in recent months.

Larmi said disagreements within a political party were normal and should be addressed through dialogue rather than street protests or public confrontation.

“He is our MP and we respect him. Differences of opinion happen, but we will sit together in a room and resolve those differences,” Larmi said.

Taking aim at the PDP, particularly Parra, Larmi questioned his political role and accused him of interfering in the internal affairs of the National Conference.

On the possibility of relations improving between the two sides, Larmi expressed confidence that the differences would eventually be resolved.

“Insha’Allah, things will be fine. Why wouldn’t they be? Differences happen, but we are working to resolve them,” he said.

Larmi also stressed the importance of working within the political and administrative system, saying that issues should be resolved through discussion and engagement rather than confrontation.
