Bandipora, Mar 07: Congress Chief Whip and MLA Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat has extended heartfelt congratulations to Irfan Ahmad Lone of Manzpora, Naidkhai, for successfully clearing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination.
In a statement, Bhat described Irfan’s achievement, despite being visually impaired, as a remarkable example of resilience, determination and dedication. He said such accomplishments bring immense pride to Bandipora and serve as a powerful inspiration for the youth to believe in their abilities and strive for excellence.
Bhat added that Irfan’s success proves that with courage, hard work and strong willpower, no challenge is impossible to overcome. He wished him success in his future responsibilities and expressed hope that his journey will continue to inspire young people to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination.
Irfan Ahmad Lone, a resident of Manzpora in the Naidkhai area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 957 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, the results of which were declared recently.
Lone lost an eye in a school accident during his early childhood but continued his studies and civil services preparation over the years. He completed his schooling at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities in Dehradun, graduated from Hindu College under the University of Delhi, and later pursued political science at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
