The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced new school timings for all government and private educational institutions across the Kashmir division, effective from November 1, 2025.
According to the official order, schools falling within the Srinagar Municipal limits will operate from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while schools located outside the municipal limits will function from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The change in timing has been made keeping in view the onset of the winter season and the drop in temperature during morning hours. The order applies to both government as well as recognized private schools functioning under the jurisdiction of the Directorate of School Education Kashmir.
The DSEK has also directed all concerned institutions to strictly adhere to the revised schedule, ensuring smooth conduct of academic activities during the winter months.
The new timings will remain in effect until further orders.
