Amit Shah to chair high-level security meet in Srinagar; Omar Abdullah not invited

Srinagar, Apr 8, KDC: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level security review meeting today at Raj Bhawan Srinagar, with top officials from the security and intelligence establishment in attendance. Notably, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will not be part of the meeting.

Reliable sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will be present along with Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, and General Upendra Dwivedi, the Army Chief. Other Senior Army officers including Deputy Chief of Army Staff- GOC-in-C Northern Command, GOC16th Corps, GOC 9th Corps and GOC 15 Corps Lt General Prashant Srivastava will also participate.

DG CRPF GP Singh, DG BSF Daljit Singh Chaudhary, DG ITBP Rahul Rasgotra, DG NIA, Special Director IB Mahesh Dixit, and Additional Secretary RAW Sunil Acharaya—will also be part of the meeting

From the civil administration, J&K Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Principal Secretary Home, Sunil Acharya, Principal Secretary to LG Mandeep K. Bhandari, and Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu will be in participating.

IGPs of both Kashmir and Jammu zones are also part of the meeting.

Sources said a total of 29 top officers and officials have been invited for this crucial security review meeting. The meeting is expected to focus on the Amarmath Yatra, security situation, threats, and the overall law and order situation in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the ongoing high-level administrative meeting in Raj-Bhawan Srinagar, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is also in attendance, sources said. (KDC)
