Srinagar , March 13 [NewsEye]:
Thousands of devotees gathered at the revered Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar on Friday to offer prayers on the occasion of Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
The large gathering at Hazratbal was also attributed to restrictions imposed on congregational prayers at the historic Jama Masjid Srinagar, where authorities did not allow Jumat-ul-Vida prayers this year. As a result, a significant number of worshippers from different parts of the valley turned towards Hazratbal to offer the special Friday prayers.
Men, women, and children assembled in large numbers at the shrine, located along the banks of Dal Lake, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere as devotees prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being.
Authorities had made special arrangements in and around the Hazratbal area to manage the massive gathering, including security deployment and traffic regulation to ensure the smooth conduct of prayers.
Jumat-ul-Vida, considered one of the most significant Fridays in Ramadan, traditionally draws huge congregations to mosques and shrines across Kashmir. With prayers not permitted at Jama Masjid this year, Hazratbal witnessed an especially large turnout of faithful marking the sacred occasion.[NEWSEYE]
