The tail end of an active Western Disturbance is expected to bring a short spell of rain and snowfall across parts of Kashmir during the night hours, with the greatest impact likely over South Kashmir.
According to weather indications, Srinagar city and several other plain areas may also witness light to moderate snowfall for a brief period tonight. Higher reaches are expected to receive comparatively more precipitation, while plains could see short-lived but noticeable snow activity.
However, this system is not expected to last long. Weather conditions are forecast to gradually improve from tomorrow morning, bringing a temporary relief with drier and more stable conditions across the Valley.
Residents should note that this improvement will be short-lived. Another Western Disturbance is likely to affect the region between January 26 and 28, potentially bringing a fresh spell of rain and snowfall to many areas.
Authorities advise travelers and commuters to remain cautious during night and early morning hours due to the possibility of slippery roads and reduced visibility in snow-affected areas. Further updates are expected as the next system approaches.[NEWSEYE]
