CM Directs Departments to Stay on High Alert Amid Heavy Rains in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday said that all concerned departments have been put on high alert following heavy rains that have caused waterlogging in several residential areas, with rivers and nallahs flowing above the danger mark.

In a post on X, office of J&K CM as per news agency JKNS wrote, Chief Minister has directed all concerned departments to remain on high alert, as heavy rains have caused waterlogging in several residential areas of Jammu & Kashmir, with rivers & nallahs flowing above danger mark.

Control rooms are active & CM Office is in touch with departments, it reads.

Priority is being given to drainage in affected areas & restoration of essential services like water supply and power. People are advised to remain cautious, reads the post.

Rains lashed parts of Jammu nad Kashmir during past 12 hours, with most parts received moderate to heavy rains. (JKNS)
