Bandipora, April 19: In view of continuous snowfall and inclement weather conditions, authorities have ordered the suspension of classwork in parts of Gurez subdivision today.
As per the order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez, classwork for students up to class 8th has been suspended in Tehsil Tulail, while in Tehsil Gurez, schools up to 5th primary will remain closed for the day.
The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students amid prevailing weather conditions.
Kashmir valley is receiving continuous rain since throughout the night. Gurez and Tulail, located in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, continue to experience fresh snowfall, with around 1 inch of snow accumulation in Gurez.—(News Eye)
