Srinagar, April 16: A waiter from north Kashmir’s Bandipora district died in a road accident in Srinagar on Tuesday evening.
The deceased, identified as Tanveer Ahmed Lone, a resident of Onagam village of Bandipora was working as a waiter at a private hotel in Rajbagh.
He was hit by a speeding motorcycle in the same area and was immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital. However, despite efforts by the medical team, he succumbed to his injuries at 5:45 PM.
PDP senior leader and Social Media head Syed Tajmul promptly arrived at the hospital and oversaw all necessary medical and legal formalities.
He also facilitated the transportation of Tanveer Ahmed’s body to his native village in Onagam, Bandipora.
Expressing profound grief over the tragic incident, Tajmul extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
