The winter vacations for schools in Kashmir valley have been extended till March 6 due to inclement weather.
According to top sources, the vacations have been extended till March 6, and schools will reopen on Friday, March 7.
After days of inclement weather and a forecast of one more wet spell, a meeting was held by the education minister in this regard this morning with all stakeholders and the decision was taken.
An official order is expected to be issued soon.
The schools were scheduled to reopen tomorrow after a gap of two and a half months of winter vacations, however, the fresh decision has deferred the reopening to March 7. (NewsEye)
