Heavy Snowfall Forecast May Disrupt School Reopening in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 24, (NE): The reopening of schools in Kashmir, scheduled for March 1 after the winter break, may face delays due to an impending spell of heavy rain and snowfall, as per weather forecasts.

According to the Independent weather forecaster Adil Maqbool, Jammu and Kashmir is expected to receive major rain and snowfall from February 26 to 28, which may even extend to March 1. The higher reaches are likely to experience heavy to very heavy snowfall, while the plains of Kashmir may witness rain accompanied by snowfall during this period.

The adverse weather conditions could pose challenges for students and staff returning to schools, potentially disrupting travel and academic schedules. Authorities are expected to closely monitor the situation and make decisions accordingly.

Students, parents, and school administrations are advised to stay updated with official announcements regarding any possible changes to the reopening schedule.(NewsEye)
