The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), set to kick off on March 22, 2025, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens.
This season will feature 74 matches across 13 venues, with 12 double-headers scheduled. Afternoon games will begin at 3:30 PM, while evening matches will start at 7:30 PM.
One of the most anticipated clashes of the tournament—Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK)—is set for March 23, 2025, promising an electrifying contest between the two most successful IPL teams.
The playoff stage will be spread across Hyderabad and Kolkata. Hyderabad will host Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator on May 20 and May 21, while Kolkata will take over for Qualifier 2 on May 23. The grand finale will also be held in Kolkata on May 25, 2025.
