Srinagar, 12 FEB: The historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar will host special prayers and religious gatherings on the sacred night of Shab-e-Barat, observed on the 14th of Sha’ban, which falls on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
According to a statement from the Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid, “the event will be marked with deep devotion and reverence, continuing the long-standing tradition at the grand mosque.
Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, will deliver a special sermon after Maghrib prayers, beginning at 7:30 PM,
highlighting the significance and blessings of Shab-e-Barat.”
“The sermon will be followed by a collective session of repentance and supplication (Tawba & Istighfar), allowing worshippers to seek divine mercy and forgiveness. The Isha prayer will be offered at 9:00 PM”.
The Anjuman Auqaf has urged the public to participate in the spiritual gathering and benefit from the religious teachings of the Mirwaiz on this auspicious night.(NewsEye)
